Shannon Beador, one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” has dealt with a lot of drama from her fellow housewives on the highly watched reality show. Although she managed to breeze through all that, she seems to be having a different kind of drama as of late – real estate drama.
She may have been successful in making Season 9 of the Bravo reality show more interesting, according to Realtor, but it would appear that the same could not be said about the real estate progress of her luxurious Newport Coast property.
According to report, the original price of Beador’s home was originally listed in 2013 with a price of nearly $16 million. Now, two years after, Shannon’s husband, David Beador, re-listed their home just last month and took off a huge chunk of the price. Still, no matter how much of a fan favorite, as per Reality Tea, David is in “RHOC,” it remains unclear whether or not the new price of $13 million could successfully attract potential buyers.
The estate has wrought iron gates, which further accentuates the property’s European Country vibe. The Beador’s mansion was designed by architect Richard Krantz and spans for over half an acre in the highly affluent area of Newport Beach, called Crystal Cove, the Los Angeles Times describes.
The house's interior designer was Robert Ricker, and he created the insides of the home with a double height foyer that leads to a grand sweeping staircase, LA Times adds. There are large ballroom-like areas for hosting formal events, two chef’s kitchens, their own fitness gym, a master wing, six bedrooms, and 11 bathrooms.
The $13 million property also boasts of its own half-size indoor basketball court, a massive entertainment room, and its own wood-paneled library. Although the house only has four floors, LA Times says that the house has its own elevator services.
One of the factors that could potentially reel in buyers is its picturesque surroundings. The grounds have been perfectly landscaped and even have formal gardens. It has an outdoor kitchen area, a swimming pool with its own pool house, and its own spa amenities.
Plus, there is even an additional en-suite bedroom outside, which could easily turn into a fantastic guest room. Lastly, those who are interested in purchasing this highly discounted estate can have many guests for their formal events, since the subterranean garage can park up to 11 vehicles.
Rumor has it that the Beadors only decided to sell their love nest because of their shaky marriage. Shannon’s profile on Bravo TV indicates that their “13-year marriage has recently hit a rough patch as she and her husband, David Beador, struggle to find balance between work, the kids, and each other.”
