The finale of the popular HBO series "Game of Thrones" is just two days away, but a recent report suggests that the entire episode has been leaked online already. Meanwhile, as the season finale approaches, new theories and speculations on the show's plot abound, particularly about Jon Snow's mother and Snow's real importance in the TV series.
According to Spoiler TV, "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale episode has been leaked online from a screener that was sent out to various media outlets for review. This news was met with different reactions from fans; some think that leaking the episode is unprofessional, while some have gone off discussing possible details and spoilers about the finale in the comments section. According to some fans, the finale may feature the death of another character (again) or possibly two or more. [Spoiler Alert!]
Some of the comments say that among the characters that will possibly die is Myrcella (Aimee Richardson), the daughter of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), and Bronn (Jerome Flynn), the sellsword who accompanied Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). According to the discussions, as Jamie's party leaves Dorne for King's Landing, a possible hijack may occur, which could lead to the death of the two characters.
Meanwhile, another commenter said that based on recently released season finale photos, Selyse Baratheon (Tara Fitzgerald), the wife of Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), and Jon Snow will possibly end up dead in Season 5.
Jon Snow's death in "Game of Thrones" has been discussed time and again, but until now it's unclear what Jon's real fate and importance is in the TV series. While some fans think that he'll indeed end up stabbed just like in the books, others think that he might actually end up to be the king, if the character's mother theories are to be believed.
According to Pop Sugar, Jon Snow's real parents have been hinted by the show on several occasions/scenes. It claims that Ned Stark (Sean Bean) is not Jon's real father but his uncle, as Jon Snow's real mother is Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister. Jon is supposedly the fruit of love (or rape?) between Rhaegar Targaryen, the son of Mad King Aerys and brother of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), which apparently makes him a part of the Targaryens, who are supposedly the rightful candidates to the Iron Throne.
The report cites a lot of incidents in the show that supposedly confirm the theory, including the scene where Stannis implied that Ned Stark was too honorable to cheat on his wife and have a bastard, and the scene of Maester Aemon (Peter Vaughan) before his death where he said, "A Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing," which is supposedly about Daenerys, but then the camera mysteriously panned to Jon Snow afterwards.
However, according to the report, the most concrete proof and obvious indication about Jon Snow's identity and parents is the title of the book series of George R.R. Martin, on which the show is based. The series is called "A Song of Ice and Fire," which supposedly suggests that Jon Snow and Daenerys are the real stars because ice = Jon Snow while Daenerys = fire. The report even suggests that the two characters marry and rule together instead of fighting each other in claiming the Iron Throne. Then again, the series could also ultimately be just about Jon Snow, since he's a combination of ice and fire, if he is indeed the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar.
