'Bones' Season 11 News: Will Bones Return for a Season 11? Unfinished Business Means Fans Would Still See the Show for Another Season

Numerous fans noticed that the last episode of Season 10 of 'Bones' was like a season ender on the last Thursday's episode, entitled 'The Next in the Last.' After the Jeffersonian team tracked down the protégé of the dishonorable serial killer Christopher Pelant, Booth and Brennan left the Jeffersonian team to find their own fate. They have decided to have a change of career and begin a new journey.

Stephen Nathan, the show's executive producer, also decided to leave the long-running series after Season 10 and take a different direction. However, Fox gave them confirmation that 'Bones' will still continue for another season, though Nathan revealed that the finale was written before the confirmation from Fox.

A report from latinpost.com quoted Stephen Nathan as saying, "We had to do an episode that would be worthy of our audience that had committed to us for so many years."

Nathan said further, "The mystery and the fun of Season 11 is how is this team going to reassemble. How is life going to go on? At what point do we pick them up?"

The executive producer also revealed that "there will be a time lapse. We will be picking them up as they have been living a life that they have wanted to live. From that they'll have to go back to the lives they had before, and clearly they will be different people and different circumstances will allow us to continue in a new life."

Booth and Brennan would return to the Jeffersonian, but things will change in terms of having a new approach and outlook on how they will do their work. Expect that things would be more exciting because of this twist.

"Time doesn't stop. You can't go back and pick up where you left off," Nathan told Hollywood Reporter. And that is the big conflict that they will be facing in the next season.
