‘Fallout Shelter’ Android Update: Game Will Be Rolled Out in the Coming Months, Bethesda Confirms; Tips on Getting More Dwellers

A mobile simulation game called "Fallout Shelter" is being developed by Bethesda Game Studios exclusively for Android, according to a report from Techtimes. Besthesda Game Studios, however, did not reveal a specific release date but simply said that "Fallout Shelter" will be rolled out in the coming months. The "Fallout Shelter" simulation game will be published by the Bethesda Softworks, a division of Bethesda Game Studios.

Prior to its debut in Android platform, "Fallout Shelter" was earlier released on June 4 to Apple's iOS mobile platform, after Bethesda's E3 press conference in Los Angeles. Bethesda Game Studios announced this recent development via the company's Twitter account. "Yes, we're also working on 'Fallout Shelter' for Android. Hopefully out in a few months," the Twitter message posted on June 17 read.

The company did not provide details on "Fallout Shelter" for Android, but it hinted some information on the iOS version of the game. The game's description in the App Store, as quoted in the Techtime report, says, "Fallout Shelter puts you in control of a state-of-the-art underground Vault from Vault-Tec. Build the perfect Vault, keep your Dwellers happy, and protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland."

In the "Fallout Shelter" game, players will act as an "overseer" of an underground community. They must know all the Dwellers and must always keep them "happy" by providing them ideal jobs, outfits, weapons, training to improve their skills and abilities, and watch them flourish. Gamers can gain total control of the underground community by using an underground Vault, a state-of-the-art vault located beneath a 2,000 feet of bedrock, which protects the Dwellers from the dangers of the Wasteland.

To get more Dwellers, AppTrigger hinted three ways for "Fallout Shelter" players. First, increasing a population is a major consideration, and this can be achieved by pairing off a couple in the Living Quarters. According to the report, a pregnant Dweller will produce a child, which can be named to a player. Second, a player must be able to grab a Lunchbox as it contains outfits, weapons and other kinds of resources that the player can use for Dwellers. According to AppTrigger, Radio Studio is also a must in attracting more Dwellers, through the broadcast of the existence of the Vault. The Radio Studio is reportedly priced at 600 Caps for a player to build and can be upgraded for an expensive 1500 Caps to attract more Dwellers.
