Amazon's Emperor Jeff Bezos and His Real Estate Empire

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has created an e- commerce empire with an estimated $47.8 billion net worth which landed him a spot as the 15th wealthiest person.

In addition to his real estate properties in California, New York and a lakefront property near the Amazon Seattle headquarters, Bezos has collected a considerably vast array of properties, earning him an unofficial title of 'land baron.'

Here's a sneak peek in Bezos' real estate empire.

1. Corn Ranch, West Texas

The 165,000- acre land was purchased last 2006 to serve as the base of operations for Blue Origin, an aerospace company built by Bezos in 2000. This vertical-launching, vertical-landing manned suborbital vehicle developed by Blue Origin took its first flight last April 2015.

2. South Lake Union Campus

Bezos' Amazon bought the largest piece of land in Seattle which has a 1.7 million square feet office space with 100,000 square feet of retail space which served as the South Lake Union headquarters.

3. Denny Triangle, Seattle

At the same time of dealing with the South Lake Union headquarters, Bezos purchased a three-block area in downtown Seattle's Denny Triangle for $207.5 million. Amazon is currently developing the land to be home of their new satellite campus.

4. Century Tower Apartment, Manhattan

Bezos purchased a three- linked apartment in Century Tower from Sony music exec Tommy Mottola to establish a presence for the east coast part of the country. Bezos purchased the 10,000 square foot living space for only $7.7 million in 1999.

5. Medina Property, Medina WA

The 5.35 acre- land Bezos renovated for $28 million has an increased living space from 13,000 to 29,000 square feet. The Medina property has a main house and a caretaker's hut and 4,500 boat house.

6. Beverly Hills Home, Beverly Hills, CA

Bezos purchased a nearly 12,000- square foot piece of land for $24.5 million in 2007. Bezos' Beverly Hills' property has a tennis court, greenhouse, luxury gate house and a swimming pool.
