The latest recruit of "Strictly Come Dancing" has been confirmed! Jay McGuiness of "The Wanted" will take part on the show. He will be the 10th contestant of the celebrity dancing program and he is nothing but excited for his next steps. He says that 'My family are such huge Strictly fans, I know I've made them very happy by taking part - I can't wait to get started!' He also shares his nightmare when he starts with 'Strictly Come Dancing', "That I completely blank. I don't think I've ever seen someone just stand there for the entire duration of the song, and I really don't want to be the first."
Jay McGuiness, born as James Kevin McGuiness is a 25-year-old boy band member raised in Nottinghamshire. He is a drum player with a fraternal brother named Tom. His "The Wanted" career started by his 'googling' of auditions ang getting 2 possible career opportunities - one for a circus and the other for the band. Jay hosted a Charity event last year in NYC to benefit the Children's Bereavement Centre in UK.
As of this June, Jay has been with Shytown Music and has been preparing his dancing powers. And just this 24th of August, he was revealed to be the 10th celebrity confirmed by BBC to be a part of "Strictly Come Dancing."
"Strictly Come Dancing" is a British TV show that features celebrities paired up with pro dancers dancing Ballroom and Latin. It is a competition where each pair will be scored up, with 10 as the highest score. Four judges comprise the show including Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Arlene Philips ( for the early parts of the show), Alesha Dixon (7th to 9th series), Darcey Bussell, and Bruno Tonioli. The show's presenters are Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, with Sir Bruce Forsyth appearing on special episodes.
"Strictly Come Dancing" premier show will have an advanced recording on September 2 prior to its broadcast.
