'The Blacklist' Season 3 Updates: Megan Boone’s New Photos

There will be big changes when "The Blacklist'' returns for a third season this 1st of October. This NBC drama was originally set to premiere on Sept. 24 for its first episode, but has been pushed back a week to make way for the two-hour opening episode of the reboot of "Heroes Reborn.'' NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt believed that fans would prefer to see "Heroes Reborn'' extended during that time slot. But he assured the fans that despite the delay of the "The Blacklist's'' schedule, nothing will change.

"The trajectory of the story is great, because it's a switch-up from what the format has been," Robert Greenblatt shared. "It's a different feel this year,'' he added. Greenblatt also revealed that the show is heading towards "a really fun, new direction," as reported by Ecumenical News.

At this point the fun part might be debatable but photos of Liz Keen played by Megan Boone that was shared on social media hints to another intense season. Boone shows her blood-stained hands in one Instagram photo while another photo shows her silhouette with a gun standing in a warehouse with bodies seen in the background.

"Season 3 is going to be the same characters but a different show, a very different topic," relates Boone. "Because now Liz Keen is no longer working within the law," Boone added. When The Blacklist Season 3 returns, Megan Boone tells Zap2it, it is going to be a very different show. "If you break open the entire task force, then it will be challenging to try to find the procedural aspect of the show again," said Boone in a report by The International Business Times.

"With 22 episodes a year, it does benefit the show to have some kind of a formula ... but we are going to sort of break open a lot of the structure of the show," the report further stated. 'The Blacklist' Season 3 will return this fall on NBC on Thursdays.
