Justin Bieber nailed his rap verse in Travis Scott’s song “Maria I’m Drunk.” The Biebs received several praises from social media, especially when the fans connoted his part to be the only highlight of the song. Who knew Biebs could rap?
Last August 28, Travis Scott’s “Rodeo” album was leaked online. When it did, the song “Maria I’m Drunk” received tremendous amounts of appreciation for the Canadian You Tube sensation turned superstar, Justin Bieber.
When word came out unofficially about several artists’ participation in Travis Scott’s new album including Bieber, Kanye West, The Weekend, 2 Chainz, Future, Schoolboy Q, and Juicy J, several rap enthusiasts grew even more intrigued as to how the album would turn about.
As Inquisitr reported, when the track was leaked, the attention swarmed on The Biebs’ ability to wrap. In the said song “Maria I’m Drunk” that lasted five and a half minutes, fans could hear the 21-year old sing fast and fierce, rapping like he was a pro, before he switched back to his usual seductive, R&B vibe.
Thrown off by Bieber’s talent in rap, Hollywood Life reported several tweets by fans who were astounded as to how the superstar was the star of the song, although he was only one of the guests along with Young Thug. The posts were as follows:
These tweets indicated that Bieber was able to outshine the song, leaving Scott seemingly the guest instead of the primary artist of the song. Even so, others even claimed that the song was not as good until Bieber rapped his vocals out.
As Justin Bieber took on the rapping world, other news reported that he was also able to shine through by releasing his own song “What Do You Mean” last August 28, along with a preview of his music video shown during the MTV Video Music Awards.
