Emmy-nominated actress Viola Davis promises fans that Season 2 of "How To Get Away With Murder" will be eventful. In an earlier interview, Davis revealed that the show will start with a "bang" and will become more complicated. A lot of mysteries will also be reportedly solved during the first episode of the season.
According to iDigital Times, Season 2 will look into every character history. Davis added that Season 2 will show the past of every character of the show so that fans would understand why these people have been put together.
That also includes exploring the past of Annalise, whom Davis portrays. According to reports, someone important from her past will be returning to her life. In an earlier report, producers revealed that this person is a new character and has a prominent role in Annalise's life.
Aside from the characters' past, it was reported that the show will look into the relationship between Frank (Charlie Weber) and Sam Keating (Tom Veronica). In Season 1, it was revealed that Frank killed Lila (Megan West) on behalf of Sam because he owes him something. The executive producers confirmed that viewers will learn more about the past relationship of the two characters and they would also reveal why Frank agreed to kill Lila for Sam.
Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that new characters will be appearing on the show and that includes "X-men" alum and "Taken" star Famke Janssen. Most of the details about the character is still not revealed; however, it was confirmed that she will be playing a defense attorney named Eve.
Variety exclusively reported another newcomer to the show, Amy Okuda, who was cast in a recurring role for Season 2. Okuda is not new in Shonda Rhimes' shows as she also had a guest appearance in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10. Okuda will be joining the new characters for Season 2 which includes "The Vampire Diaries" alum Kendrick Sampson and "Supernatural" star Matt Cohen.
"How To Get Away With Murder" Season 2 will premiere on ABC on September 24.
