'The 100' Season 3 Release Date & Spoilers: Clarke Joining A New Clan? New Characters To Bring More Conflict

Before "The 100" comes back for Season 3 next year, showrunner Jason Rothenberg released a first look on Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) new look. In the photo featured in Entertainment Weekly, it seems like Clarke has gone full Grounder. What could this mean?

According to some speculations, Clarke's new style could mean that she may have joined a new clan. Some reports think that Clarke is on an undercover mission. It was earlier reported that the show will pick up from where it left off in Season 2, when Clarke walked away from Camp Jaha after the sacrifices that were made at Mt. Weather. It seemed too much for her after Finn (Thomas McDonell) became one of the casualties of the sacrifices.

In the last Comic-Con event, Taylor revealed that what happened at the end of Season 2 was traumatic for Clarke, which is why she walked away. She added that Clarke is not going to handle it well and she will be a little lost. Meanwhile, Bellamy (Bob Morley) will step up as the new leader in Clarke's absence.

The show announced several new characters that will be appearing in Season 3. Brenda Strong was cast as Queen Nia of the Ice Nation while "Sons of Anarchy" and "The Blacklist" alum Michael Beach was cast as an Arker named Pike. According to the character description, Pike is a tough and charismatic Arker with a devoted loyal code.

Hypable reported that a new character was added with the name of Roan. Roan will be played by Zach McGowan and was described as a rogue Grounder warrior who is always determined to get what he wants. Meanwhile, the site also learned that someone will get pregnant in the upcoming season.

It was earlier confirmed that "The 100" Season 3 will have 16 episodes,; however no exact premiere date has been confirmed yet.
