The newest mystery anthology season of ABC, "Secrets and Lies" will return for Season 2 sometime next year. The first season of the show featured Ryan Philippe as Ben Carson who becomes the primary suspect in a young boy's death. He then sets out to find the real killer to clear his name.
According to Christian Post, the new season of the show will now feature Michael Ealy as Eric Warner. Ealy is an heir to a private equity firm, and his wife was murdered. The murder reportedly happens during his promotion party and now he is considered as the primary suspect.
Juliette Lewis will return for Season 2 as Detective Andrea Cornell, and she is reported to be the only cast member to come back for the show. She will be the one to lead the investigation on the death of Eric's wife, Kate Warner, who will be played by Jordana Brewster.
Other cast members for Season 2 include Charlie Bennet, who will play Patrick Warner, the youngest sibling of Eric. Annalynne McCord will play Patrick's wife. Meanwhile, Terry O'Quinn will be playing John Warner, who is the patriarch of the family. Mekia Cox will play Eric's sister Amanda Warner, who is a criminal lawyer who will help her brother clear his name.
Master Herald reported that a new character will be added to the show. Eric Winter will join the cast as Neal Oliver, who is Eric's best friend. According to the site, Neal might do more than just consoling his best friend because of his wife's death. The site speculated that the character might play as the main antagonist for the show. Kenny Johnson will also be joining the show as a new suspect who will make Eric's life more complicated.
As of writing, there is no official schedule released yet for the show's premiere, but it is believed that Season 2 of "Secrets and Lies" will air sometime next year.
