'Pitch Perfect 3' Confirmed for 2017: Casts to be Filled-in through Virtual Auditions

The third installment of the blockbuster acapella movie has been confirmed for 2017. Virtual auditions are now being held to give aspiring fans a chance to join Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow in conquering the acapella world.

Universal has announced that they will conduct "virtual auditions" via the DubSmash lip-sync app. The auditions are now being held across the U.K. to find someone to star in a walk-in role in 'Pitch Perfect 3.'

Aspiring fans can join the virtual auditions by creating a video of themselves re-enacting their favorite 'Pitch Perfect 2' scenes through DubSmash, which they can then post to Instagram, Twitter or Vine with the hashtag #PitchSmashUK.

The most creative lip-sync will be given the chance of a lifetime to appear in wide-screens alongside the acapella stars, and the ultimate bragging rights to have their name in the movie credits.

The successful candidates will be announced on Sept. 21, in-line with the official DVD and Blu-Ray release of the second 'Pitch Perfect' movie.

The 'Pitch Perfect' movie is about an all-female acapella group named Barden Bellas. The story follows the wacky and heart-melting adventures of the group in reaching their goal to become the best acapella group in the U.S. and in the world.

'Pitch Perfect 2' featured a humorous romantic twist when Fat Amy and Bumper fell in love with each other. The question now is, will they be on the spotlight again in 'Pitch Perfect 3'?

'Pitch Perfect 3' will be directed by Elizabeth Banks -- who also plays a cutting commentator named Gail Abernathy-McKadden-Feinberger in the movie -- and writer Kay Canon.

According to the Irish Examiner, the 'Pitch Perfect 3' movie will be released on June 10, 2017 with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow returning to their roles, while BBC reports that it will be on theaters by July 2017.
