HTC A9 Aero News: Device Set For November Launch, To Feature Fingerprint Scanner, 6 Color Options, Metal Design & More?

Rumor has it that HTC is currently working on another Hero smartphone that will be publicly unveiled this November. Dubbed as the HTC One A9 codenamed "Aero", the device's rumored specs have been leaked by Evan Blass, a popular phone leaker.

The recent leaks suggest that HTC A9 Aero will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chip, a fingerprint scanner and more, a report from iDigital Times said on Friday.

According to Blass, the HTC A9 Aero is expected to feature a 5-inch Full AMOLED HD display with 2 GB of random access memory and 16 GB internal storage capacity. The upcoming handset will also feature a metal design, six color options, a Micro SD slot, and a 2,150 mAH battery. All these leaked specs and features were shared by Blass through his Twitter account Tuesday.

"Blass also reiterates rumors that the HTC A9 may launch in November. However, the hardware he is proposing is much different from the specs listed in older rumors. It has been believed the smartphone would feature a the deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chip, a Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM and a 3500mAh battery," the report noted.

Android Central reports that the leaked HTC A9 Aero is similar to iPhone 6, noting that the upcoming smartphone's physical design was described to be an evolution of One M9. It was said that HTC was heavily criticized for retaining a large design from the company's flagship smartphones that were released last year. However, recent speculations suggest that HTC opted for a flatter design in Aero, and once the device is out in the market, it will be running Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

"As far as the HTC One A9 price is concerned, the smartphone will likely cost in the range of $470 and $626. AT&T will be selling the handset after it is released in the U.S. However, HTC has not yet confirmed the One A9 specifications or price so far," International Business Times reported.
