The next episode of "Switched at Birth" will focus on both welcomed and unwelcomed romance, most especially for Bay (Vanessa Marano).
According to Christian Today, Bay is now ready to have a relationship with Garrett (Nyle DiMarco). However, some reports claim that it might not end well.
In terms of her relationship in the past, Bay has gone through some tough times, particularly after the incident she had with Tank (Max Adler) and also her recent break-up with Emmett (Sean Berdy). This reportedly could be the reason why Bay is in such a hurry to be in another relationship.
In the promotional trailer for episode 18, Bay's friends question her actions as she decides to do everything she can to be able to be in a relationship. In one scene, she even gets into an argument with Travis (Ryan Lane).
According to Latin Post, Marano talked about her character in the show in an interview and she described Bay as a "hot mess." She added that she thinks that Season 4 is all about Bay getting her life back and doing things for herself after she moved to California for Emmett.
Marano described Bay's relationship with Emmett as beautiful yet dysfunctional. She added that when Bay and Emmett were together, they just ended up hurting each other.
Meanwhile, Daphne (Katie LeClerc) will be dealing with different things as she will experience some kind of tension with Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch). It was also reported that Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) will encounter some troubles as they prepare themselves for the next chapter of their lives as parents. On the other hand, Toby's parents, John (D.W. Moffett) and Kathryn (Lea Thompson), are going to look for new financial opportunities to help Toby in his situation.
"Switched at Birth" Season 4 episode 18 will air on October 12 on ABC Family.
