'Arrow' Season 4 Episode 2 Spoilers: Jessica Runs for Mayor? Felicity Dies?

The "Arrow" Season 4 premiere was full of action and ended with a major cliffhanger that made fans feel more excited about the next episode.

To recap, Oliver and Felicity had a peaceful life in suburbia, away from the turmoil of Starling City but Felicity became bored and started to miss the thrills of fighting crime and it was discovered that she was working with Team Arrow without Oliver knowing, Forbes reported.

But the two were summoned by Thea and Laurel to return to Star City and help them fight the "Ghosts." Damien Darhk, a new villain was introduced in the premiere. The final scene featured a flash forward, manifesting that a member of Team Arrow will die six months into the future and is speculated to be Felicity, according to USA Today.

"We don't necessarily know who it is right now," Executive producer Wendy Mericle said according to TVLine. "We're still figuring the plan out for the season, but we want it, obviously, to have resonance. If it doesn't mean something to the characters, it won't mean anything to the audience either."

Meanwhile, in the next episode entitled, "The Candidate," guest star Jeri Ryan, who will play as Jessica Danforth and a family friend of Oliver and Thea, expressed her intention to run for major, despite the risks. In episode 2, Echo Kellum will first appear as Curtis Holt, who will eventually become Mr. Terrific.

"When an old family friend, Jessica Danforth (guest star Jeri Ryan), tells Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) that she is going to run for mayor, both Queens are concerned considering the last three mayors have been murdered. Despite their protests, Jessica makes her announcement so the Green Arrow and Speedy vow to protect her. Meanwhile, Thea begins to exhibit effects from the Lazarus Pit. In addition, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is faced with a tough business decision and looks to one of her employees."
