iPhone 6s Plus vs. HTC One M9: 6s Wins via Fingerprint Scanner, CPU, 3D Tech, But M9 Specs Not Bad for $199

HTC One M9 can reportedly take on the latest iPhone device. Here is a comparison on how these two smartphones fare.

iPhone 6s Plus with its curved edges and metal unibody, is deemed one of the finest phablets in the market when it comes to design. The smartphone features an enhanced Touch ID fingerprint scanner, which is incorporated in its home button. Its size is also larger than its rival, and is available in four colors: rose gold, gold, gray and silver.

HTC One M9 smartphone, on the other hand, features a metal body. However, it is hand-polished to look shinier. The HTC One M9 does not have a fingerprint scanner, which is somewhat of a disadvantage of the HTC phone. When it comes to the colors, the HTC handset is available in gray options, as well as amber gold, gold/pink combination, and silver/gold combination, Tech Radar reported.

iPhone 6s Plus rolled out with 3D Touch technology along with a hardware that can detect the extent of pressure being applied to its screen. The iPhone device also features an IPS LCD screen that measures 5.5 inches and has a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels by 401 pixels per inch density.

Meanwhile, the HTC One M9, features a super LCD3 screen that measures 5.0 inches and has a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels by 441 pixels per inch density.

One M9, when it comes to the devices' CPU, is equipped with the new Snapdragon 810 chipset along with an octa-core CPU containing four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, combined with an Adreno 430 GPU.

iPhone 6s Plus, however, is deemed faster with an Apple A9 chipset, along with a CPU containing two cores clocked at 1.84 GHz and a PowerVR GT7600 GPU, Technology News Extra reported.
