Without a doubt, film franchise Transformers of Michael Bay has always proven its box-office success from the day it was first released in June 28 of 2007. All of its three sequels have continued to prove their commercial success. As such, a fifth film is now set to wrap up the Transformers franchise. With this, a number of details on the forthcoming movie have already started to surface.
His being part of "Transformers 5" was previously denied by Michael Bay, but based from his USA Today interview, Bay admitted to have many ideas about the franchise. "There is some kind of fresh chapter, a latest direction in films that i want to create. I have so many stories to share and it is about doubling up new muscles," Bay said.
Hence, it is said that a lot of people who have worked for the award winning flicks like "Iron Man", "The Walking Dead" and "Lost" have been designated to make the screenplay of the forthcoming "Transformers" instalment. This list includes Gabriel Ferreri, Andrew Barrer, Matt Holloway, Akiva Goldsman, Art Marcum, Robert Kirkman, Jeff Pinker, Zak Penn.
Transformers 5 has been rumored to bring two storylines. Its first story shall take place on Earth, which will likely follow the life events of Cade Yeager to be played by actor Mark Wahlberg. Based on the speculations, Wahlberg will team up with the Dinobots and Autobots to protect this world from its threats. Moreover, its second story is going to focus on Optimus Prime, the Autobots Leader, who will look for the lost ancestors, the Quintessons, the creators of Optimus Prime.
A latest villain is said to be, Unicron, who is expected to be presented in the series. Unicron is the giant transformer and its sheer scale can stop his fight with the Autobots on Earth. These two sides will happen in space so the upcoming film may do away with its human storyline completely.
"Transformers 5" is set to be released in 2017.
