Blockbuster movies "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Jurassic World," and "Fifty Shades of Grey" have scored big nominations for the 2016 People's Choice Awards.
In the complete list of People's Choice Awards 2016 nominees shared by ET, the movie categories are dominated by "Avengers: Age of Ultron" with staggering seven nominations, including Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actor for Robert Downey, Jr. and Favorite Movie Actress for Scarlett Johansson. There are also two "Avengers" stars nominated for Favorite Action Movie Actor: Downey, Jr. and Chris Hemsworth.
The July blockbuster film "Jurassic World" is following closely behind with four nominations: Favorite Movie and Action Movie, Favorite Movie Actor for Chris Pratt and Favorite Action Movie Actor, still, for Pratt. "Fifty Shades of Grey" did not go unnoticed either. The cult movie based on EL James' novel of the same name bagged two nominations: Favorite Dramatic Movie and Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress for Dakota Johnson.
For the TV categories, shows with multiple nominations include "The Big Bang Theory," "Modern Family," "Quantico," "How to Get Away with Murder," "Pretty Little Liars," and "Once Upon a Time."
Meanwhile, country singer Taylor Swift is nominated for Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Song and Favorite Social Media Star in the music categories. Other popular singers nominated are Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
Fans can vote for their favorite stars, shows and movies through the People's Choice Awards website until Dec. 3, 11:00PM ET. Votes can be cast on PCA's Facebook account or Twiiter.
The announcement of 2016 People's Choice Awards nominees was held at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, on Nov. 03, Tuesday. Among the several notable TV personalities who announced the nominees include Jane Lynch and Marcia Gay Harden of "Code Black," Ming-Na Wen of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," Betsy Brandt of "Life in Pieces," Abigail Spencer of "True Detective," Zachary Levi of "Heroes Reborn," Grammy-nominated singer Christina Milian, and TV producer Mark Burnett.
The 2016 People's Choice Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in LA on Jan. 6, 2016, according to E! Online.
