Ahead of the 2016 premiere of Netflix's "Daredevil" Season 2, various reports have claimed that there will be new villains that will challenge Hell's Kitchen vigilante.
According to Venture Capital Post, Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) will be given focus in "Daredevil" Season 2. It was earlier reported that two new villains will be arriving in the characters of Elektra, to be played by Elodie Yung, and The Punisher, to be played by Jon Bernthal.
Given that Elektra is Matt's former lover, viewers will also get to discover Matt's college life with Elektra in Season 2. Based on the comic books, Elektra broke up with Matt when she decided to leave New York after her father was killed, and she then worked as an assassin under The Hand. It was speculated that their past relationship will have a huge impact on their characters, and it is possible that Elektra might be a friend than a foe.
With that, tthe site also reports that a ninja organization called The Hand will also cause trouble in Hell's Kitchen. Their rival organization called The Chaste will also reportedly make an appearance in the show.
Meanwhile, Gospel Herald reports that there is a huge possibility of a crossover between "Daredevil" and the upcoming show "Jessica Jones." Although it has not yet been confirmed by Marvel or Netflix, it was speculated that aside from "Jessica Jones," there is also a possible crossover with another upcoming show titled "Luke Cage," which is currently in production. It was not stated as to whether "Jessica Jones" will be appearing in "Daredevil" or if Matt will be the one to appear in the first season of "Jessica Jones."
"Daredevil" season 2 will be released on April 15, 2016.
