'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date Leaked by Amazon Listing?

Fans should have already learned the lesson to trust only the official news about "Kingdom Hearts 3" after it was reported that the so-called D23-exclusive trailer buzz was just a hoax. However, here comes another buzz on the release date of Square Enix's much-awaited game coming from the emergence of an Amazon listing.

According to Master Herald, Japanese game developer Square Enix is still keeping a tight lid on the release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" on PS4, PC and Xbox One but an Amazon listing seemed to have leaked that the game will be released on Dec. 31, 2016.

When you head over to the Amazon website, it looks like pre-orders for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are already accepted this early at the price of $59.96, plus free Shipping. Then the Amazon listing proceeds to say, "This item will be released on December 31, 2016. Pre-order now." The listing continues, "Will feature new and familiar worlds based on Disney properties, and will serve as the final chapter of the Dark Seeker saga."

This is not the first time Amazon has been reported to leak the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date. Previously it was reported that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released in early 2017 after a user has shared detail of an email received from Amazon.

As posted in the Nerdopotamus website, the email contains a message that partly said, "We have received new release date information related to your pre-ordered video game in the order you placed on January 25, 2015." Then it mentioned that "Kingdom Hearts III" on Xbox One has an estimated arrival date set on Jan. 02, 2017.

So now, at the bottom of the Amazon listing it says, "Customers may have received an email from Amazon stating that this title is scheduled to release on 1/2/2017. Please note that the placeholder release date for this game is 12/31/2016, and 1/2/2017 just happens to be the next shipping day after that placeholder date. No actual release date is confirmed at this time. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused."

As Dan Seto @dmseto, the manager of Square Enix, tweeted, "We want to thank you for all your support and will let you know when we have more to share," reminding everyone to wait for official news from Square Enix.
