Real Estate News: Donald Trump Faces Possible Boycott by Dubai Real Estate Partner Due to Islamophobic Comments

Donald Trump has always been in the limelight ever since the world can remember. However, his latest proposal regarding Muslims entering the United States of America garnered backlashed at him. Just recently, a real estate firm from Dubai, DAMAC Properties, that is building a $US6 billion ($8 billion) golf complex with Trump’s company has ditched his name on the property.

Although the company had initially told press that it would be standing by Trump’s side despite that another of his Middle East partners had already removed the sales of his Trump Home furniture and decor line in its Lifestyle division of department stores; DAMAC Properties has recently removed Trump’s image, together with his daughter, Ivanka, from the billboard outside the construction site.

The company’s spokesperson Niall McLoughlin denied to comment, according to , when asked about the removal of the image. The project, AKOYA by DAMAC includes a Trump golf course, community and spa. Moreover, there is also a second golf course project, AKOYA Oxygen, that is Tiger Woods-designed at another DAMAC-owned property in Dubai.

According to the Reuters photographer, gold letters that spelled out "Trump International Gold Club," affixed to a landscaped stone wall at the entrance to the project site, were also taken down.

In connection, a petition to ban Trump in the United Kingdom reached 300,000 signatures. It is just one of the many uproars that the candidate for presidency of the US Federal government has been getting ever since his comment about Muslims. In fact, Arianna Huffington of huffingtonpost.com has come down with a decision to exclude the candidate from all of its media coverage.

What do you think of the international uproar that Trump is getting right now? Will it be helpful in his candidacy to be the president of one of the countries that are considered as super powers of the world?
