'Clash of Clans' Developer SuperCell Slammed for Disastrous 'Town Hall 11' Update

The most anticipated "Clash of Clans" update known as the Town Hall 11 update went live last week with a promise of a bigger and better gameplay and game balancing tweaks. However, Supercell has never anticipated how negatively many fans would receive the changes.

The Personal Break Timer, one of the many tweaks in the Town Hall 11 update, has become one of the pet peeves of "Clash of Clan" gamers. According to Yibada, after the update there has been instances where the counter continues to rise thus gamer cannot get shields due to constant attacks. Many players have taken to Reddit forums to slam the change in the personal break timers.

As previously reported, the Town Hall 11 update promised a new guard option that allows players to go on short breaks because it was meant to protect your village from sudden attacks, it was supposed to make the game fair for those who can't stay online for longer hours as they are put on an even field with those who are always online especially during attacks. However, gamers are hating the new system and as what Yibada has pointed out even the new Village Guard is a problem because there are instances that players are getting kicked because the Village Guard still functions even when the player is already logged in.

Supercell is reportedly keeping mum on the issue. But according to Design and Trend, the outrage has become so disastrous that the company is being slammed by media in its hometown. Based on the report found in Finnish online media Iltalehti.fi, considered the largest news source in Finland, the developer is in a heap of trouble. The report says that, "The new update is one of the largest and most controversial in the history of the game."

Supercell needs to fix this quick as it is very sad to see a massively successful game go down the drain after a failed update.
