"The Young and The Restless" star, Scott Elrod, is now engaged to his girlfriend, Vanessa Vazart. Elrod shared the happy news on his Instagram page on Christmas day. Elrod posted a photo of him and Vanessa with their matching red hooded onesies with reindeers design.

Elrod's engagement announcement came days after he revealed to his fans that he is going to be a dad. It was just last week that Elrod shared that Vanessa was pregnant with their first child.
Scott shared Vanessa's pregnancy in a very cute way. He took a photo of his text conversation with his mother when he told her that she will become a grandmother and posted it on his Instagram page.
Scott captioned the photo which says, "Sending love to everyone who has influenced me as it has added to who I have become as my #1@vanessa_vazart and I have been blessed with a little peanut and now I get the greatest give of all which is to channel that love to him. Mom Dad x2 I love you and thank you!@vanessa_vazart U r are my mirror image I love you."
Cleary, Scott's mother was ecstatic when she learned about Vanessa's pregnancy. And with Scott's recent engagement, it is another great news for the whole family.
Meanwhile, it was just recently reported that Scott's character as Joe Clark was officially out of "The Young and The Restless." Joe will end up being sentenced to six years of imprisonment out of state. How things ended for Scott did not came as a shock to his fans because "Y&R" writers were able to do a road block in his storyline.
Scott left "Y&R" because he landed a good role as Dr. Will Thorpe at Grey + Sloane Memorial Hospital on ABC's hit primetime series, "Grey's Anatomy."
It seems like 2016 is Elrod's year with successful career on his hands, a baby to arrive in a few months and a doting soon to be wife, Vanessa.
