Nike Sportswear introduces an all-new collection of shoe styles that were inspired by New York City's embrace of basketball, as well as the area's surrounding culture. According to Nike, sneakers have now transcended "the court and have solidified status as street style icons."

The Nike Foamposite 1 and the Nike Air Force 1 Elite, which is a reconstruction of the Nike Dunk, highlight this special collection. In honor of the event this weekend, each of their silhouettes were purposely incorporated with five-point, four-point, and single-point stars. These elements serve as the shoemaker's tribute to the city's five boroughs, four quarters in a basketball game, and the single legendary exhibition that showcases the sport's biggest celebration.

Nike provides the images for all of the designs that are part of this year's NBA All-Star collection.

According to Sneaker News, the Nike Air Force 1 Elite will be out on Feb. 11 at $130. The report also provides images for the design. The model has an alternating print of a diamond on its heel and side panels, and features a bigger star texture that clearly stands out on the its white base, which, in turn, is uniquely of a translucent design. Moreover, according to Kicks on Fire, the shoe's white silhouette was completed with an Air Max bubble in its heels.

Air Jordan users initially thought the model was to pay homage to Riccardo Tisci, who is quite known for the star print that he flaunts in his collections, but it was confirmed that the Nike Air Force 1 Elite was a nod to the NBA's All-Star Weekend.

Although the mega shoe company will be coming up with a multitude of amazing shoe collections for the All-Star Weekend, Hip Hop Wired is confident that hype-beasts will most likely be going after the Nike Air Foamposite One. Its Chrome finish with matte-black studded stars on its tongue has definitely made it a must-have among Nike shoe lovers, according to a separate Kicks on Fire report.

Nike says it boasts of a "brilliant anodized chrome finish" that has a "synthetic black eye stay panel" contrasting with a shiny upper portion that gives the design a lustrous energy that is befitting for the star-studded weekend. The Nike NYC logo is also incorporated into the design in honor of the host city.

The Nike Air Foamposite One will be out by Feb. 15 at a whopping price of $275. Hip Hop Wired even joked that, since the day before its launch date is Valentine's Day, a lot of men will have to make some critical life choices come next weekend.

Another design from the All-Star collection is the Nike Dunk CMFT PRM AS. It will be out on Feb. 11 at $120. It boasts of a Zoom Air feature in its heel, as well as a Phylon midsole. Since weight has been reduced, it can provide its user with a more aggressive stance. Keeping up with the NYC vibe, it has the city's telephone codes printed on its quarter panels.

Lastly, the Nike Lunar Wavy AS pays homage to two sportswear icons, namely the Nike Air Foamposite One and the Nike Air Force One. Its fluid upper and aggressive stance was inspired by the former, while its white color scheme was derived from the latter.
