Emily Kinney will officially be part of "The Flash" in a guest-starring role of a villain. The CW confirmed to Just Jared that Kinney, who became popular as Beth Greene in "The Walking Dead," will be portraying the role of Brie Larvan.

According to the network, Larvan is a "reimagining of the classic DC villain, Bertram Larvan, also known as Bug-Eyed Bandit."

They applied a few changes to the comic villain and turned her into a young girl, who happens to be a narcissistic tech wiz aiming to wreak havoc in Central City. When Ray Palmer, played by Brandon Routh, and Felicity Smoak, played by Emily Bett Rickards, arrive, the latter recognizes Larvan as her nemesis, and they start to engage in a hacker battle for the life of The Flash.

The short synopsis shows that the episode will feature yet another cross over from "Arrow" into "The Flash," which includes Palmer, or Atom this time around. According to Variety, the duo from Starling City only went to Central City to obtain assistance on Palmer's ATOM suit from STAR Labs.

"When you reach what's going on in 'The Flash,' at that point in the season, Barry is really at a crossroads," admitted show's Executive Producer, Andrew Kreisberg. "Having Felicity come by exactly when he needs her really plays into the whole storyline." Barry Allen is played by Grant Gustin.

"Ray Palmer is all about technology and STAR Labs is all about technology," he added. "We get to see Ray so happy to be in STAR Labs with Cisco - they're new best friends. The STAR Labs team is going to help Ray further his ATOM project."

Screen Rant says that the Bug-Eyed Bandit has been around in the comics universe since the mid-60s. Considering that the character has very close ties with Atom, it is only understandable that DC fans expect Kinney's participation in "The Flash" to eventually cross over into "Arrow." Plus, if The CW comes to a decision soon, an "Atom" spin-off series could be made possible in the future.

PUNKD Images recently posted a photograph of Kinney on Instagram, showing her arrival in Vancouver to start filming for the show's all-new take on the Bug-Eyed Bandit.

The sudden death of her character in the mid-season finale episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" surprised a lot of the show's fans. However, now that the news of her involvement with "The Flash" has surfaced, her fans would be glad to once again see her featured in the small screen.
