The Surface Pro 3 was the laptop-tablet combination Microsoft released a year ago. The company has been attempting to compete competitively with Apple for quite some time now, and it was only until the Surface Pro 3 that they managed to achieve their goal, according to Cross Map.

They now managed to earn up to $1.1 billion in revenue in the second fiscal quarter of 2015, accordng to Win Beta. Microsoft will certainly up their ante and incorporate better features and specs for the upcoming Surface Pro 4. Rumor has it that it will feature the Spartan browser, Xbox streaming, 4G LTE support, and even the new Windows 10 "Cortana."

According to the rumor mill, the all-new Surface Pro 4 might sport the same 12-inch screen that the Surface Pro 3 had but others claim that it will have a bigger display of up to 14 inches. Plus, Christian Post says that Microsoft will also release a smaller version to accompany the Surface Pro 4, with a rumored screen size of only eight inches.

The report also states that it will be sporting an Intel Core M Broadwell processor, which is believed to considerably more efficient, yet less powerful compared with the Surface Pro 3's Haswell Intel Core processor.  Android Origin also claims that the Core M processor reduces 30 percent of its energy consumption, which makes it a more environmentally friendly option than its predecessor.

The Fuse Joplin says that the Surface Pro 4's new Windows 10 OS, or "Cortana," will allow its users to integrate with their Xbox consoles. Hence, they can have access to live streaming features as well as play Xbox games on their laptop-tablet.

Moreover, Cross Map says that the Surface Pro 4 will have a 4G LTE capability. Its predecessor can only connect to a Wi-Fi, which might become a problem when no hotspot is available. The Washington-based tech company decided to fix this dilemma by allegedly incorporating a 4G LTE support for the Surface Pro 4. This way, the Internet becomes accessible--anytime and anywhere.

The report also mentions that the Surface Pro 4 will surely sport Spartan, which is Microsoft's new browser, as well as a text- and voice-powered digital assistant. Moreover, the gadget is expected to be out in the market by May this year at an estimated price of between $1,000 and 2,000.
