"Jane the Virgin" has now been recognized as one of The CW's most watched comedy series. Throughout the show, it featured the characters having a lot of problems with their dads, from Jane Villanueva, played by Gina Rodriguez, finding out that her father was actually a TV star, to Rafael Solano, played by Justin Baldoni, suspecting his father to be the evil Sin Rostro.
Now, though, it looks like things will be stirred up some more since mothers will also be making their entrance. E! Online says that Rafael will be reuniting with his mother to find answers regarding his father, whom he suspects to be a criminal. Apart from that, the death of Roman Zazo, played by Alano Miller, was put into question.
The report revealed that Rafael's mother is named Elena. She will also be having a heart-to-heart talk with her son on the reason she decided to leave their family at such an early time in their lives. As of now, though, the studio has reportedly not found the right actress to portray the role. Therefore, the only things "Jane the Virgin" fans know about Rafael's mother are her name and possible race, which may either be Mediterranean or Italian.
Although it was revealed that Rose, Rafael's stepmother, is the real Sin Rostro, played by Bridget Regan, she could not have killed Roman Zazo. She and Emilio, Rafael's father, played by Carlo Rota, was spotted in the surveillance footage by the poolside when the murder happened. This means that Rose has a solid alibi that makes her a non-suspect for the killing of Zaz, and the police are now stumped trying to figure out the identity of the murderer.
However, it would turn out that Zaz was actually alive and well all this time. The International Business Times says that he will even be meeting up with Jane in the upcoming episode.
A promo video released by Spoiler TV showed that Luisa Solano, played by Yara Martinez, will be breaking out of the mental facility. Now that Petra Solano, played by Yael Grobglas, has found an ally in her acid-throwing ex-boyfriend, Milos, she will most likely be seeking revenge for what Lachlan Moore, played by Michael Rady, did to her. Plus, Rafael and Michael Cordero, Jr., played by Brett Dier, will also finally end their threats and decide to fix things the traditional way - through a fighting match.
Jane will also be meeting up with her paternal grandmother, who happens to be as glamorous as her father, according to a separate report from The International Business Times. The report says that the role was given to Rita Moreno of "West Side Story."
