The action is heating up as the first-ever WWE Fastlane Pay-Per-View event approaches. According to reports, fans should expect another heated confrontation between Sting and The Authority, particularly Triple H.
WWE recently confirmed in a statement that Sting has already accepted the challenge to meet Triple H face-to-face in the highly-anticipated WWE Fastlane this weekend.
Sting is quickly becoming one of the biggest thorns for The Authority and their dominance of the WWE. Aside from his classic appearance in the Survivor Series 2014, Sting recently earned the ire of Triple H and company when he appeared in a match involving John Cena.
Sting's appearance led to a victory for Cena against Kane, Big Show and Seth Rollins in their three-one-one handicap match. Cena's victory paved the way for the return of Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan, who were all fired by The Authority earlier this year.
While fans still have no idea about the upcoming face-to-face meeting between Sting and Triple H, Tom Clark of Bleacher Report believes the wrestler nicknamed by WWE as "The Vigilante" will emerge "victorious" on Sunday, based on how Sting has been making an impact to fans as of late.
"Considering how good Sting has looked thus far, it's hard to believe that the company will allow him to fall now," Clark wrote. "And that means he will very likely take out The Authority at Fastlane."
After the upcoming confrontation at WWE Fastlane, Sting is expected to continue making a lot of noise and Clark believes it could lead to a showdown between "The Vigilante" and Triple H at WrestleMania 31, which could be one of the main matches in the annual spectacle.
"Sting will best The Authority, just as he did at The Survivor Series," Clark wrote. "All of this could very well be leading to a match between Sting and Hunter at WrestleMania 31, a night that has seen many dream matches and epic showdowns happen over the years."
The 2015 WWE Fastlane will take place on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. This highly-anticipated event replaced the Elimination Chamber, which was one of the pre-WrestleMania events from WWE over the past several years.
