Long before it was confirmed that Bruce Jenner was in the process of transitioning into a woman, as well as his deadly car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway, his lack of participation in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” was what drove the family to steer away from him. According to Music Times, the Kardashian-Jenner clan “has all but washed their hands of him.”
TMZ says that the girls were, at one point, talking about the Kardashian-Jenner patriarch who only seldom shows up. “Maybe it’s time to admit to themselves that they’re barely even enough of a family anymore to go on vacation with us,” one of the girls said. “Things are only going to get more difficult and complicated,” Kim Kardashian said, referring to the soon-to-be-publicized female transition of her stepfather.
The news of Jenner's decision to slowly turn himself into a woman ignited a lot of rumors – some of which were fabricated, while some were true. Web Pro News says that Jenner was convinced that his family, or, at least, one of them, has been leaking the details of his transition to the press.
This could be a major factor why the former Olympian opted to stay away. Now, though, it would seem that he has taken his distance to the next level since he reportedly upped and left his Malibu beach house to live on a remote hilltop ranch, as per X17Online.
Design & Trend says that Jenner has actually been moving his personal belongings since Feb. 19. The proof that he intends to stay longer than initially expected was when he brought in wall hangings and a massive chest drawer with the help of a friend and his son, Brandon. He reportedly purposely chose this four-bedroom home on a 6,000-square-foot ranch for the privacy it offers.
Since the Kardashians reportedly did their best to steer clear of Jenner’s transformation, J. Alexander of “America’s Next Top Model” offered to help him with the process. “I just want Bruce to call me so I can take him through some moments in heels,” the runway coach told Page Six. “Little makeup tips here and there. I think it’s going to be really amazing. I’m waiting to see which designers will use his transition as inspiration – maybe Jeremy Scott.”
Jenner previously planned to document his transition in a docu-series. However, since the accident, which killed one of his Calabasas neighbors, he had to put his own show on hold. “It’s not the priority right now, given the severity of the situation that Bruce is facing,” a source told Radar Online. “It would also be in very poor taste to be filming a reality show after Bruce was involved in the crash.”
Boston Herald says that he also had to put his gender reassignment surgery on hold following the fatal multi-car pileup on the PCH.
