Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has found a buyer for his Texas mansion, selling it for $1.7 million just one month after listing.
O'Neal listed his 5,270-square-foot Carrollton mansion at 4012 Sahara Court Carrollton last month for an asking price of $1,695,000. The listing was held by Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate. The final sale price has not been disclosed. However, the home was up for sale for $1,224,000 when he bought it from the previous owners in 2022, per Realtor.com.
Photos of O'Neal's Carrollton estate showed five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a home office with built-in shelving, a fireplace, and a tiered ceiling. The mansion also features an open floor plan and is surrounded by windows that give its residents scenic views of the outdoor pool and palm trees.
One of the main draws of O'Neal's mansion is its kitchen, which features a six-burner Wolf gas range and a large island. Other amenities include a cigar lounge, a home theater, high ceilings, and a grotto-style pool.
O'Neal's Other Properties
Months prior to listing his Carrollton estate, O'Neal bought a second home in North Texas in Rockwall County using the same trust he used to buy the mansion. His Rockwell County home spanned 4,670 square feet and featured a pool with a 500-square-foot casita. It is unclear how much O'Neal paid for the property, but the appraisal value at the time of listing was around $1.7 million, according to WFAA.
In 2022, O'Neal had sold a property in Windemere, FL, for $11 million. That property was first put on the market for $28 million in 2018. The price was then cut to $22 million months after, and to $16.5 million in April 2021. O'Neal's Windemere property was built in 1990 and featured 12 bedrooms, 11 baths, four half-baths, and 31,000 square feet of living area.
Other properties include a 6,400-square-foot in Sugar Land, TX, as well as four different homes in McDonough, GA, the latter of which expand to a combined 30 acres of land, per the New York Post, citing public records.
