Liam Payne, a British singer who rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction, died at the age of 31 after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Argentina.

His shocking death led to an outpouring of grief among fans and friends worldwide. The star reportedly suffered multiple traumas and hemorrhages as a result of the fall. He was declared dead on the spot by medics.

Payne, who had a net worth of $70 million, is believed to have been living in his home in Buckinghamshire at the time of his death. However, he has created an impressive real estate portfolio since he rose to fame as a member of the boy band. He also launched a solo career after the group disbanded.

Here are some of the late singer's properties.

Florida Rental

Payne and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, moved into a rented property in Wellington, Florida, just weeks before his passing. The property, which featured five bedrooms and six bathrooms, cost the couple $9,500 a month to rent, per The Daily Mail.

The property, which is valued at $1.73 million, features a saltwater pool and an outdoor courtyard. It also boasts high ceilings, large windows, a wine cellar, a recording studio, and a two-story library.

Los Angeles Estate

In 2015, Payne purchased a mansion in the Santa Monica Mountains near Calabasas, California, for $10 million. The estate, which sat on a five-acre lot, featured a main house spanning 9,659 square feet as well as two guesthouses.

Built in 1991, the five-bedroom, eight-bath estate featured a meditation tea house, mosaic-tiled swimming pool, meditation pavilion, and koi ponds.

Payne attempted to sell the house for $14 million or rent it out for $60,000 in 2018, per LA Times. However, he failed to find a buyer even after multiple price cuts. He eventually sold the property in 2021. The buyer was later revealed to be singer Halsey who bought the property for $10.61 million.

Surrey Mansion

Payne also owned an enormous property in Surrey, England, just outside London. The Georgian-style home featured five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The mansion is valued at approximately $12.3 million and features a pool, a soccer pitch, a tennis court, and a home cinema with a secret door that leads to a games room.

The property is currently listed for sale.
