It may have already been revealed that “American Horror Story” Season 5 will be all about a “Hotel,” show creator, Ryan Murphy, has decided to keep things under wraps. Thankfully for those who have been dying to know more about the show, a tipster from FX has opted to reveal a few key things about the upcoming season, according to Enstarz.
A Reddit user posted a link to Tumblr, detailing what Lady Gaga’s character is going to be. According to the leak, Gaga’s character is described as a ‘beautiful, strange, yet sophisticated heiress – knees deep in debt – who runs the hotel and will do whatever it takes to keep it up and running’ regardless of the different tragic events that have happened there.
Plus, Fashion & Style has reported that, unlike the show’s previous seasons, such as “Murder House” and “Coven,” “Hotel” will not have any supernatural arc. Instead of focusing on ghouls and magic, GameNGuide is convinced that “American Horror Story” Season 5 will be focusing on a secret society or a Satanic cult, one which Gaga will be leading.
Plus, fans are also wondering how “American Horror Story: Hotel” will be tying up with the other seasons. After all, the show’s creator did admit that the storylines will all be connected to one another.
“They’re all connected,” Murphy told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re just beginning to tell you how they’re connected. They’re all very separate, but, there’re clues every season that we’re now telling you how the different worlds are intertwined.”
Before it was revealed that Season 5 has the subtitled of “Hotel,” fans speculated that the upcoming season had something to do with the Top Hat clue. It turns out that the Top Hat mystery is connected to the Hotel storyline after all, particularly as it refers to “Top Hat,” which is a hit comedy musical back in 1935. That said, fans are now wondering whether or not the season will be a full-on musical.
Moreover, it was previously reported by multiple online news outlets that Jessica Lange will no longer be making an appearance in the show’s fifth season. However, Fashion & Style is convinced that Lange will still be part of “American Horror Story” Season 5 as “the older version of Gaga’s character.”
Apart from Lange, the other members of the cast, such as Finn Wittrock, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, and Frances Conroy will all be returning to the show. Season 5 will begin production in July and will be making its comeback on television on October.
