The last movie from “The Hunger Games” franchise premiered only four months ago, and fans still have eight more months of waiting before they can finally watch the “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” on the big screens. However, it would seem that Lionsgate does not want to waste any time in building up the hype.

A first teaser clip was released for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” which happens to be the last movie in the franchise based on Suzanne Collins’s bestselling young adult books.

Game Zone reported that the first video seems to serve the purpose of a refresher, as it features dialogues obtained from previous “The Hunger Games” movies. No scenes were leaked which suggested that this new teaser was more of a quick recap, reminding everyone of the true enemy.

With a full-blown war expected in the upcoming installment, Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, is heard calling on the people of The Capitol to rebel against their oppressive government, including President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland, according to Screen Rant.

Although no footage was shown in the first teaser, voices from various characters could be heard. The material seemed to have been formed by putting together shortened dialogues from the franchise’s previous films, then finishing it with Katniss’ new war cry.

Those who read the novels must already know that Katniss will be going on a covert task with her closest and strongest allies, Finnick Odair, played by Sam Claflin, Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson, and Gale Hawthorne, played by Liam Hemsworth. Their mission is to assassinate President Snow, who has also become hell-bent on destroying the heroine.

Apart from the short clip, a new poster for the film was also released. Although the Mockingjay bird was still greatly featured, it was unlike any Mockingjay previously seen in the franchise. The bird was clearly not enclosed in a ring anymore. Slash Film said that this might mean to symbolize that Katniss is finally breaking free from the bonds of the Capitol.

According to the official synopsis of the film, the traps and moral choices that Katniss will have to face give her the most difficult challenges she has ever encountered.

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” will premiere in cinemas on November 20. The film will still feature JLaw, Sutherland, Hutcherson, Hemsworth, Claflin, and Jena Malone.
