“Teen Wolf” Season 5 might feature some steamy scenes between Scott McCall, played by Tyler Posey, and Kira Yukimura, played by Arden Cho, as reported by a separate Realty Today article, but another love team from the show might be left in the shadows. This not good news for the fans of Lydia Martin, played by Holland Roden, and Jordan Parrish, played by Ryan Kelley.

Co-executive producer Russell Mulcahy has pointed out last September that if the relationship between Lydia and Parrish do not blossom into a romance, it is likely that they will foster a very close friendship.

“There’s definitely a bond that you saw in one of the final scenes of them together,” he told TVLine, referring to how their partnership was largely featured in “Teen Wolf” Season 4. “It’s a very strong bond forming between them.”

“Lydia may not end up with the person you think she does at first,” co-executive producer Jeff Davis said at the Paleyfest 2015, via Entertainment Weekly.

This statement sparked rumors that Lydia will end up with Stiles Stilinski, played by Dylan O’Brien. After all, Stiles was madly in love with her during the show’s first season. To date, show runners have managed to keep further details about the show under wraps. However, Davis did tease that “one of the cold openings is all about Lydia.”

Although Stiles and Lydia will be heavily featured when season 5 premieres, The International Business Times has confirmed that their relationship will only be platonic. “They’re at the forefront of trying to figure out the next mystery,” Roden said, according to another TVLine report.

Lydia, a banshee, gave the bestiary to Deputy Parrish in the previous season’s finale episode. That way, she could assist him in figuring out particularly what type of supernatural creature he truly was. This sweet moment between the two is only of the many scenes in season 4 that led the show’s fans to believe that a Lydia-Parrish romance will be featured in the upcoming Season 5.

Youth Health Mag has pointed out that Parrish was first introduced into the show's season 3. Since his appearance, he has been exposed and involved in a lot of the “cases” that the “Teen Wolf” pack is connected with. Towards the end of season 4, it was revealed that he is not just a regular ex-military deputy but is actually a bit like the rest of the pack.
