The “Teen Wolf” Season 5 trailer was released earlier than scheduled. The show’s cast regulars, namely, Dylan O’Brien, Arden Cho, Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, and Shelley Hennig, are back and seem to be very worried about something.

The video clip may only have been less than a minute long but it gave the show’s fans a sneak peek into the events that surround the entire pack. It appears that Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Malia, and Kira are all bracing themselves and preparing for a new villain.

“The doctors will see you now,” the promo read, with a scary voice over from Dr. Deaton, played by Seth Gilliam. “The rules have changed.” If the video’s statement is any indication about who the new villains are going to be, then it would appear that these Doctors are the pack’s new enemies and are not the types anyone would make a medical appointment with.

According to multiple online sources, it looks like the new threats will have an affinity for torture. This is only one of the reasons the upcoming fifth season of “Teen Wolf” is considered to be the scariest and darkest ever.

Unlike its previous seasons, Season 5 will be introducing a new direction which is “about the line between science and supernatural.”

“It is very much about our teenagers becoming adults and heading into their senior year,” Jeff Davis, executive producer, told TV Line. “But, as always, we bring in some new mysteries and new monsters.”

Despite how the show runners decided to up the ante and show a darker side to the “Teen Wolf” storyline, Tyler Posey claimed that there will also be some steamy scenes particularly between Scott and Kira.

“I cannot wait for people to see,” Posey told Hollywood Life excitedly. “He is really calculated and calm and has been there and has gone through all these scenarios and situations like a calm adult. He is experimenting – I mean, I experiment with new ideologies all the time.”

“I am still growing up as an individual and Scott is, as well,” he added. “He is, like, ‘You know what, I am going to handle this a little more maturely and calculated and calm and really be Zen about things.’”

This only means that not only did the characters grow up but the stars of “Teen Wolf” have matured as well.

Furthermore, it was revealed at last year’s San Diego Comic Convention that “Teen Wolf” Season 5 will have 20 episodes which is nearly twice the number of episodes featured in Season 4.
