Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth sparked rumors that they have gotten back together after they were spotted grabbing a bite at SoHo House. According to reports, it appears that the former couple are gearing themselves to rekindle their romance.
"They have been hanging out in L.A., but only a few people know," a source told Us Weekly. "Dating could definitely happen."
After the "Hunger Games" actor "cut her off," the "Wrecking Ball" singer would reportedly keep on sending him text messages. "He eventually started answering," said the source. "They would check in on each other here and there. Liam has rough stories about that relationship, but he always talks about how fun she was to hang out and their great chemistry."
It must be noted, however, that the pop star had just gotten off a highly controversial relationship with the 21-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger. Things were peachy until rumors about the "Terminator" actor's son cheating on Cyrus during his spring break vacation in Cabo surfaced online.
Some of her fans reportedly advised their idol to take things slow, especially since she has just gone through a breakup. However, it does not look like she is about to slow down anytime soon. Onlookers who got to witness the rumored couple's SoHo dinner said that "it looked like a date," according to New York Daily News.
Moreover, although Cyrus and Schwarzenegger had just broken up quite recently, a source insisted that she has actually "been talking and texting with Liam for months and months." "It was a friendship that, at times, got a little flirty. She never told Patrick about it as she knew how jealous of Liam he was. He would have flipped out had he known Miley was talking to her ex."
Cyrus and Hemsworth first met on the set of "The Last Song" in 2009. It was a love story based on a bestselling book written by Nicholas Sparks. In no time at all, their on-screen attraction turned into something real.
Hemsworth asked her to marry him in June of 2012, which was only after three years of courtship. However, their 16-month engagement ended in September 2013.
During their separation, Daily Mail reported that while Cyrus was busy dating Schwarzenegger, Hemsworth also had his hands full, being romantically linked with January Jones and his "Hunger Games" co-star, Jennifer Lawrence.
