Kate Middleton has given birth - in secret - and the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William just introduced their newest royal baby to the loving public. The royal couple stepped out of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in London to give the people and the media their first official look at the princess.
While the Duchess Kate and Prince William have yet to announce the name of their newborn daughter, Britain's legal book makers revealed that the princess' name could be either Alice or Charlotte. According to Stuff, the Duchess has reportedly been eyeing these two aforementioned names and will be making an official announcement on Sunday.
The yet-to-be-named newborn princess is fourth in line for the throne of Britain, after her grandfather Prince Charles, her father Prince William, and her older brother, Prince George.
During the introduction, Duchess Kate looked absolutely beautiful and stress-free. Her long brown locks framed her face perfectly which was quite expected - considering that her hair stylist, Amanda Cook Tucker, visited her in her hospital just a couple of hours before the public appearance.
Middleton was wearing a beautifully patterned, floral, white and yellow dress from Jenny Packham. Meanwhile, Prince William looked handsome in a casual V-neck sweater worn over a collared shirt. The sleeping princess was in the Duchess' arms, and she looked absolutely adorable swaddled in a delicate white fabric.
Kensington Palace told Us Weekly through a statement that the shawl the Princess wore was "from GH Hurt and Son Ltd."
"The company has a long-standing connection with the royal family," the statement read. "Other members of the royal family have been presented with these shawls in the past, and Prince George and the Duke of Cambridge had similar shawls when they were babies."
The Duchess reportedly went into labor by 6 a.m. and was immediately brought to the Lindo Wing of Saint Mary's Hospital. This was the same hospital where Prince George was born in 2013.
Princess Alice or Princess Charlotte - depending on whether Duchess Kate will push through with their book maker's guesses - was delivered at around 8:34 a.m., according to Telegraph. She reportedly weighed only eight pounds and three ounces - which was only three ounces lighter than her older brother.
Prince Charles and the Middleton family reportedly visited the new royal baby on Sunday. Sadly, Prince Harry could not physically see his newborn niece as he was in Australia. He did, however, send his love via long distance. "She is absolutely beautiful," he said. "I cannot wait to meet her."
