Universal Studios' "Jurassic World" has lorded over all its competition gathering more than $500M in the worldwide movie market in just 17 days followed by Inside Out with a total of $185M in just 10 days which is 35% higher than "Up" produced by Pixar.
Anthony D'Alessandro of Deadline pointed out the facts of the 17 day $500.4M rake in of the Jurassic World movie which was shown alongside Magic Mike XXL and Terminator Genisys. He also mentioned that the Jurassic Park franchise has currently generated a total of $3.26B at the global Box Office. As for Inside Out's performance produced by Pixar and Disney, it has outperformed "Finding Nemo" by 29% and "Up" by 35%. The difference was shown in the number presented where JW was shown in 4,198 theaters with a $54.5M cume for 3 days with a screen average of $12,990. Inside Out on the other hand was shown in only 4,132 theaters with a $52.3M cume and a screen average of $12,990.
Other specifics showed that the income generated internationally by the Jurassic World Sequel totaled to $737.5 million and was king of the mountain for 3 weeks in a row around the world while Inside Out pulled in an international total of $78.5 million. Archynews saw a different light where it stated that despite of Jurassic Worlds' 50% drop on the first and second weekends the fourth sequel franchise set the bar high enough as the fastest movie to ever hit the $1B mark globally, showing in more or less 66 countries.
It may be safe to say that Jurassic World has eaten up the competition in more ways than one, due to its international dominance over the rest of the opposition.
