'Homeland' Star Morena Baccarin is heading to Splitsville with her husband Austin Chick. Report says that director & writer Chick files the divorce and is asking for support.

TMZ confirms the news that Austin Chick, director and writer, has filed a divorce and wishes to end his marriage for more than 3 years with Morena Baccarin. He cited that the reason for the divorce is the irreconcilable differences with his wife. Austin has also filed a joint custody of their son (more than a year old) and would like a spousal support.

TMZ commented that Morena Baccarin appears to be the bread winner in the family. Learning that she has been earning more from hit TV Series like the "Gotham" and "The Flash", she must have raked a sizeable amount of  income.

On a separate report, Daily Mail UK mentioned that while the "Homeland" star has benefited the huge success in Hollywood, Chick is quite the opposite when it comes to his career profile. His filmography is limited to "Girls against Boys" in 2013, "August" in 2008- a drama movie starring Josh Hartnett and Naomie Harris, and "XX/XY" in 2002.

According to E! Online, Austin has filed the divorce on June 12, 2015. However, the news about it has just come out earlier today.  The online magazine tries to ask comment from Baccarin but no one from her camp has released a formal statement yet.

It seems that Morena Baccarin's role in "Homeland" as Nicholas Brody's estranged wife Jessica is working against her as she faces this real life divorce case.

So much about the sad news, Baccarin could look at the brighter side. She has been the recent guest star on  several TV Series like the Fox's "Firefly," CBS' "The Good Wife," TNT's "Heartland," CBS' "The Mentalist" to name a few.

As for movies, she has an upcoming film "Deadpool" with Ryan Reynolds. The movie is already on post production, where she plays the role of Vanessa Carlysle.
