The World's Biggest Floating Hospital has its goal of saving lives. Considered as the largest trauma facilities, the ship has more than 700 medical personnel with 5,000 units of blood and 12 ORs.

CNN Special edition news published this USNS Comfort, they revealed the purpose of its operation and what's inside the big sea vessel.

It says that this is the biggest hospital in a ship around the world. It has a twin ship called Mercy. Comfort and Mercy used to be oil tankers that are converted into floating hospitals. Its height is like a 10-storey building with the length that size of 2 football fields.

Right now, the twin ships are set to sail around Americas (South and Central) and the Caribbean. The goal is to carry out the humanitarian mission called "Continuing Promise." This mission is to extend help and save lives to patients across 11 nations of Latin America and Caribbean. The mission will last for five months, and there are estimated 100,000 patients to care for in this said operation.

Leading the team of medical missionaries is Captain Christine Sears. She is a urologist. It is reported that it is her first time to be on board the Comfort. According to her, it is very dramatic and fulfilling to be able to help one person at a time. "(But) being able to reach more people ... is such a blessing, to be able to lead and help more people," she said.

However, on a separate report from Navy Times, Comfort's command senior chief was fired five days ago because of being allegedly drunk and misbehaved during the function graced by the President of Panama.  The news was shared by a reliable source, which was said to be familiar with the incident.

This incident was not an isolated case because it happened in March. Capt. Rachel Haltner was also fired for making the lives of those onboard miserable. For this reason, it has been noted the ship Comfort is faced with a challenged in terms of leadership.
