For those that want to invest in the business, choose real estate. According to the recent Bankrate survey "Real estate is Americans' top investment choice." Yes, the housing economy crashed five years ago but the fear and anxiety in the market is no longer holding the Americans back. For the first time in three years, real estate was the most popular investment option in a survey that accompanied Bankrate's Financial Security Index as stated in a report by bankrate.com.

All across the globe, people are turning to the real estate business for financial stability. Why? Despite the claims of real estate unrest, most are still favoring to invest in real estate. It is probably due to the recent positive results in the housing markets. According to a report by bankrate.com, "Americans are likely encouraged by recent indicators showing the housing market's strength."

Statistics have also shown that the sales have gone up for the housing market. The surveys have shown that "CDs and other cash investments came in second at 23 percent. Other survey results were on purchasing stocks. The survey also shows that 14 percent of the respondents preferred gold and other priceless metals, while the remaining 5 percent preferred to invest on bonds."

In real estate, the investment is physically visible. According to a study conducted by web.mit.edu, "It is among the least "tradable" of products, in the sense of being physically unmovable, even though it can be bought and sold both domestically and internationally."

Home values are rising over the horizon, leading to the rising of investments in real estate as well. According to Bankrate, "The latest measurement of national home prices shows a 4.2 percent year-over-year gain from March to April. Since February 2012, when the index bottomed, prices have increased 26.8 percent."

This is a clear indication that investing in real estate might prove to be the best road to financial security not only for the Americans but for the rest of the world as well.
