After being estranged from the CIA, what will be Carrie's (Claire Danes) fate? It was earlier reported that Carrie will now find isolation in Berlin, Germany where she will be working alongside an industrialist and philanthropist who is on the mission to make the world a better place. Carrie will be working as his chief of security.

Furthermore, after moving on from her life in the U.S., Carrie will have a new love interest after her failed relationship attempt with Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend), Design & Trend reports. However, according to International Business Times UK, there were behind-the-scenes photos that revealed the reunion of Carrie and Peter.

In the final episode of Season 4, the couple shared their first kiss but it ended badly as Carrie immediately said she has second thoughts about their relationship. Peter felt betrayed and went on a suicide mission.

However, Carrie's new career will put her in a tight spot as it was reported that her friend, Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin), who was appointed the director of the CIA, sees her work as something that's conflicting with her former values. By working with a radical individual, Carrie is now viewed as a traitor to her country. In addition, some of her new friends in Germany even suspect her for being a spy and they think that she is gathering intel to bring back to Langley.

In the official synopsis of Season 5, it was revealed that the show will start two years after Carrie's failure as Islamabad station chief. As she is struggling to fight her guilt and disillusionment after years on the frontlines of war, she finds herself in isolation in Berlin and starts to work on a private security firm.

"Homeland" Season 5 will premiere on October 4 on Showtime. Watch the trailer below:
