Samsung, a leading brand in electronic devices and home appliances, has added another service by introducing Samsung Pay for TV, utilizing its Smart TV units.

It is a simplified payment system that will enable purchases to be made on some 2014 and 2015 TV models. It supports a wide range of online and mobile payment methods, including PayPal, as well as major debit and credit cards.

Samsung officials gave an assurance that the service comes with enhanced security features that will leave its users worry-free when making transactions. As it has teamed up with PayPal, one can be assured not only of protection for payment details and information, but also a fast, safe and reliable way of settling dues.

To sign up, Smart TV owners must register by keying in their billing information. People who are using a Samsung mobile device can skip this step and instead transfer their account details directly to the system.

Similar to other ways of paying via online, a digital shopping cart is used to begin a transaction. You can set up with either your credit, debit or PayPal account. If your card number or PayPal e-mail is already registered with an existing Samsung account, these details will automatically be used every time you sign in. Should there still be a need to type them in, this can be done using the new and secure Samsung virtual keyboard. Just pick the product or item, select "Pay Now," enter your PIN, and the system will initiate your chosen method of payment.

Initially, Smart Pay for TV will only be available in 32 countries, and the methods and features available will also depend on the model of the television unit and the location of its user.

With this new innovation from Samsung, shopping and paying online will definitely be a breeze.
