Gotham Season 2 spoilers offer more on the villains that are heading the city. The characters of Joe Pyke and Penguin are going to create more chaos. In addition, the recent reveals talk about James Gordon being demoted.
Franchise Heralds says that the Gotham Season 2 premiere will display a different story of James Gordon. Ben Mckenzie who play the role of Gordon has disclosed of what's going to happen in his character as he saved the life of Falcone in season 1. He would be demoted as the mayor of the city. So, season 2 of Gotham will show a reversal of fortune between Gordon and Mr. Cobblepot.
In an interview with Comic Book Resources, McKenzie has shed some light on the turn of event in his character as James Gordon. "He's been punished by Loeb for saving Falcone's life and foiling Loeb's plan. So, he's a traffic cop and he's pretty bitter about it. As always in Gotham, things change quickly and the rules are reversed, yet again," McKenzie explained.
Speaking about Mr. Oswald Cobblepot, the 2nd trailer of Gotham Season 2 has put the spotlight on him. According to IB Times, his character is expected to evolve in the upcoming season. Now that he has double-crossed his former boss Mooney Fish and has been successful with it, Cobblepot thinks he is already the king of the city. Although the recent preview gives away a little bit of a spoiler on the next season of Fox's hit TV series, Fans have to wait how his character would develop into a notorious Penguin.
In addition to Penguin, Joe Pike will be appearing also in the upcoming season. He would lead the arsonist gang and will wreak mayhem in the city. Deadline says that Leo Fitzpatrick of "The Wire," will play the recurring role.
Gotham season 2 premiere is on Sept. 21 on Fox.
