News Domain reports that Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton have decided to enlist their Sydney home in the real estate market.
This property is "a prized waterfront home in Hunters Hill" of the Hollywood and Award-winning actress Cate and her husband Andrew Upton, who is a famous playwright and director. In addition, the property is called Bulwarra is a historic estate, and would be one of the "headline acts" for the spring selling.
According to the news, the couple would be leaving Australia towards the end of 2015 when their children will be done with their schooling. Andrew Upton has ended her contract with Sydney Theatre Company as creative director.
L.A Times says that the sandstone-faced estate was built in 1877. The property is overlooking the Lane Cove River, with an area of over an acre. It has gone through an extensive renovation, and has been upgraded into a more contemporary style. The home has distinctive features like its clean lines and neutral tones plus the open space.
The interior of Bulwarra features glass walls, raised ceilings, formal living and dining rooms. It kitchen has a center island. The office and the library are situated in the lower level of the house. The floating staircase that is framed in jet-black steel is an impressive feature which extends up to the 3rd floor of the huge property.
