Calvin Harris and Zayn Malik engage on twitter fight after the former 1D singer allegedly threw shade on Taylor Swift.
E! Online reports that Zayn Malik posted on his twitter account a spliced quote from Taylor Swift and from Miley Cyrus. According to the report it was an attempted "call-out" for Taylor because of her "profit stance concerning the streaming services" at the same time reinforcing the anti-money attitude of Miley.
Calvin Harris came forward to defend his beloved girlfriend from the alleged throwing shade of Zayn Malik. The two men had a back-and forth spat via twitter, which had been intensified very quickly.
Harris didn't throw subtle jab but had been direct with his blows towards Malik with his tweets.
"You've made your money? Cool...f--k the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah f--k em," Harris said on his twitter account. He also said that if Malik couldn't understand what it means for a successful celebrity to use his or her influence for the benefit of other musician including songwriter then the former 1D singer should stay out from things he doesn't understand.
After tweeting those things, Harris didn't stop right there but he continued slamming Zayn in his twitter philippic.
However, Metro UK says the Scottish DJ perhaps had realized that he made himself look pretty foolish by venting out his angry through social media. So he backtracked a few minutes after he lashed out on the British singer. He tried to explain that his original post is not personally directed at the Ex-One Directioner but to the spliced quotes.
As for Zayn Malik, he wasn't intimidated by Taylor's boyfriend's angry-assed tweets. He also retaliated by getting personal at Harris according to TV3. The British singer continued to throw shades at him, "Oh and I write my own sh*t too d**khead," he tweeted.
Instead of answering that tweet unkindly, the DJ simply wished him the best of luck and praised him for his great voice.
Taylor Swift has not commented yet regarding this incident.
