Manhattan has long been the heart of New York City because it is where the financial heart of the world's most powerful nation is found. NYC is also where multinational organizations like the United Nations, Amnesty International, and Doctors Without Borders set up their headquarters.

However, recent projects are trying to spread the development to the other four boroughs of the Big Apple.

According to a report by Curbed, one of these projects is a new tower known as Queens Plaza Park on the borough of Queens, predicted to become the tallest building in New York City outside of Manhattan once it is finished. The tower will measure 915 feet and will be built between Bridge Plaza North and Northern Boulevard on 41st Avenue, right behind Long Island City clock tower. The residential building's address is 29-37 41st Avenue, and it will have at least 70 stories and 800 units.

The new artist renderings of the tower released on the blog 6sqft gives a detailed look on the yet-to-be built luxury residential building. The building was designed by the firm SLCE Architect, which also designed the highest building in another borough, Brooklyn's 388 Bridge.

The building was originally planned to be 70 stories tall and will include aircraft safety lights, despite not being in the direct flight approach flight zone of nearby LaGuardia Airport, one of the three international airports serving metropolitan New York.

Based on a report by the New York Post, the project will be developed by Property Markets Group and the Hakim Organization. It would be remembered that the two organizations have snagged the air and development rights, as well as other fees for the building's construction, for a massive $56 million from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Once finished in 2019, the Queens Plaza Park, an 800-unit luxury condo, will likely be the highest overlook in New York City exterior of Manhattan.
