If you have been facing problems regarding your Apple device's battery life, you are not alone. A bunch of Apple consumers have been complaining that their batt life hasn't been very efficient after upgrading to iOS 8.4.1. It's just one of the few issues people have been complaining about in the past days. Every time Apple releases a new OS update, bugs arise and complaints spread all over the internet, and battery life is the most common problem each update has.
However, there are ways for you to deal with this, or at least get the most out of your device's energy:
You can perform a hard reboot. Do this by holding the power button and home button until the device vibrates and restarts.
You can also reset your settings to its default. It won't erase your data if that is what you are concerned about.
Do a Clean/Restore of iOS installation by downloading the IPSW file for your gadget. Performing this may actually improve your device's battery life.
Also, try to turn your location services off as much as possible unless you really mean to have it turned on. Apps that continue to run in the background is always the culprit when it comes to battery consumption. Although of course, it is the company that is obliged to make sure that your device's battery can be maximized despite app usage.
Every time iOS releases an update, the amount of customer satisfaction never reaches a hundred percent. People always find something that they hate. In the recent update 8.4.1, not only the battery life has encountered an issue. Music, Syncing, and constant lags has also been reported to have occurred while using iOS 8.4.1. Apple recognizes most of the problems, but it's expected that full fixes will only occur by the arrival of iOS 9, alongside the release of the next iPhones.
iOS 8.4.1 is just a minor update. But despite it being a small update, it has given most people big problems, considering that a phone's battery life is the most important element in any device. But there's nothing we can do much about it, we just have to do our part in conserving battery, and just wait for the next update in the hopes that it will do better in saving battery.
Generally, turning off unnecessary apps that run in the background can greatly help in extending your phone's energy. Constant reboots and restorations also do its part in removing battery draining activities. But it would be really nice if we wouldn't need to do those. So, let's wait and see if iOS 9 will remove our frustrations with regards to iOS battery life issues.
