Former L.A Kings' defenseman Jack Johnson, who filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection back in 2014, has sold his home in Manhattan Beach for $1.3 million and lost another to foreclosure, according to Los Angeles Times.

Located in the guard-gated community of Manhattan Village, the three bedroom and three bathroom townhouse with a four person steam shower was originally put on sale last year for $1.65 million.

Johnson, now a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets, bought the 1,800-square-foot home from Lakers forward Luke Walton back in 2007 for $1.235 million. The newly remodeled townhouse features fireplaces done in broken glass and wired surround sound and an upgraded kitchen with a tiled backsplash.

The outdoor area of the home includes a hedged patio lined with Saltillo tile has a fire pit and a built-in barbecue.

Johnson's second Manhattan Beach home, which he purchased in 2011 for $1.5 million was foreclosed last January. The 2,900-square-foot property was sold at auction for $2.125 million.

The Columbus Dispatch reported last year that the 27 year old defenseman, who signed the $30.5 million deal in 2011, has filed for bankruptcy. In his bankruptcy filing, he claimed assets of "less than $50,000" and debts of "more than $10 million" and according to Columbus Dispatch, he has been sued at least three times for $6 million.

Johnson reportedly lost all of his earnings due to his parent's wild spending. He also claimed his mother Tina Johnson borrowed at least $15 million in her "son's name against his future earnings." Among of his claims is that his parents purchased new cars using his money and they spent more than $800,000 on the subsequent upgrades to the Manhattan Beach property. They also allegedly traveled often to see him play.

As per Los Angeles Times, the former University of Michigan player began his career with the Kings and spent the better part of six seasons in L.A. before being traded by the Kings to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2012. According to Sports Salary, Jack Johnson's Net Worth stands at $17,428,572.
