Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen and husband New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are celebrating as their $20 million Los Angeles home is finally finished after construction.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple moved into the 22,000-square-foot mansion last year after purchasing it in 2008 for $11 million. Brady worked with contractors and designers to draw up the staggering, over-the-top plans.
Their completed mansion now includes eight bedrooms, a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with spa, a wine cellar, state-of-the-art gym and a moat. The home has been under construction for three years, according to People.
Bundchen, an environmental activist, weathered criticism for building a home so large. In an interview with People magazine, she said the home is decked out solar power, along with eco-friendly heating and cooling systems and water supply.
The pair married in June 2009, and are parents to son Benjamin, 3, brand-new daughter Vivian, nearly 2 months and Jack, Brady's 5-year-old son with ex Bridget Moynihan. The new home also features a large backyard and a custom playground for the children.
Inside the master bedroom, Brady, 35, and Bündchen, 32, have matching his and her walk-in closets, plus a huge marble hot tub.
